In this article, we’ll take a deep dive into Beast Boy’s relationship status, why fans ship him and Raven so much, his other love interests, and more!

Does Beast Boy have a love interest?

In most versions of Teen Titans, Beast Boy’s love interest is Raven. In some versions, like the original animated series, their romantic feelings are only hinted at. In others, like the comics, they are explicitly in a relationship. Beast Boy has also dated Terra in many versions of the series.

  1. Beast Boy and Raven have a complex relationship in almost every version of Teen Titans, but in Teen Titans Go!, they both have romantic feelings for each other. They are also a canon couple in the comics, with their relationship beginning in Vol. 3.[1] In the original Teen Titans animated series, however, they have a close friendship but do not officially get together.
    • In the comics, Beast Boy and Raven’s kiss in issue #30 is a key moment in their relationship.
    • There are hints of romantic feelings in the original animated series, but the two ultimately have a close platonic relationship.
    • In Teen Titans Go!, their relationship is mostly played for laughs, as Beast Boy often flirts with Raven, which annoys her.
    • In the live-action series Titans, the two still have a close relationship, but they aren’t together like in the comics.

Why do fans ship Beast Boy and Raven?

  1. Beast Boy is energetic, outgoing, and always has a smile on his face. He’s also bold, can be overbearing at times, and isn’t necessarily as knowledgeable as the other Titans. Raven, on the other hand, is more subdued and reserved and has a deadpan sense of humor. She’s also intelligent, being well-versed in all matters of the occult. Because their personalities are so different, fans think they balance each other out nicely.
    • Even though Beast Boy and Raven poke fun at each other, it’s also evident that they truly care for each other. There are many instances in which they comfort each other, like in the original animated series when Beast Boy reassures Raven after she defeats Melchior.
    • Some fans say that the two are a perfect example of the Black Cat Girlfriend x Golden Retriever Boyfriend dynamic popularized by TikTok.
