The Best Female Characters in My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is a popular manga series with some incredibly dynamic characters—including several fierce and lovable female heroes! While it’s hard to narrow them down, here are some of the most notable and important female characters in the show:

Ochaco Uraraka: Also known by the hero name Uravity, Ochaco is a kind and cheerful student at U.A. with a Zero Gravity quirk, which allows her to make any object weightless in order to lift it. She can also lift herself, although overuse of her powers may cause severe nausea.

Kyoka Jiro: Kyoka (or “The Hearing Hero”) is a level-headed and logical U.A. student who loves music. Accordingly, she has an Earphone Jack quirk, meaning she has headphones that extend from her earlobes, allowing her to control sonic vibrations and eavesdrop on others.

Momo Yoayorozu: Momo, aka the Everything Hero: Creati, is a strategic and intelligent hero with a Creation quirk. This quirk allows her to generate non-living materials from her body—however, she must maintain a significant food intake in order to create these materials from her fat cells.

Mina Ashido: Mina, whose hero name is Pinky, is an extremely cheerful and enthusiastic U.A. student with an Acid Quirk. In other words, she’s able to secrete a corrosive acid from her hands and control the acid in order to easily move around and attack others during combat.

Tsuyu Asui: Also known as Froppy, Tsuyu is a bluntly honest, level-headed, and caring character with a Frog quirk. Like a frog, Tsuyu is able to leap, stick to walls, camouflage herself, and store items in her stomach. She also has a strong, flexible, and extremely long tongue, and she can also secrete a mild toxin from her stomach lining.

Toru Hagakure: Toru (or “Invisible Girl”) is a cheerful and bubbly character with a permanent invisibility Quirk. She’s also able to refract light in order to blind her enemies, and she can also easily eavesdrop on others due to her constant invisibility.

Himiko Toga: Himiko is a villain in the MHA universe, but she’s also incredibly complex and beloved by fans. As a member of the League of Villains, Himiko has a “Transform” quirk that allows her to shapeshift by drinking the blood of others. However, she (twistedly) sees blood-drinking as the ultimate expression of love, as she wants to shapeshift into the people she adores.

Rumi Usagiyama: Rumi, whose hero name is Rabbit Hero: Mirko, is a very bold and independent hero with a rabbit-themed quirk. This quirk gives her superhuman leg strength for powerful kicks, as well as enhanced hearing and agility.
