Many states have recently changed their registration processes, and they can seem a little confusing. If you live in Idaho and you’d like to register to vote, make sure you are over 18 years of age and then fill out a voter registration form to make sure you can vote in your next election.

  1. In order to vote, you have to be at least 18 years of age. If you are 17 but will be turning 18 before or on election day, you can register to vote within 30 days of your 18th birthday.
  2. To vote in Idaho, you need to be a resident for at least 1 month before an election day. You will be asked to provide your address on the registration form to prove that you are a resident of the state.[1]
