- There's a famous (beautiful) Studio Ghibli museum in the city of Tokyo, Japan. There are no set paths or routes that guests are supposed to follow inside. The museum's slogan is "Let's lose our way together."
- Studio Ghibli never uses CGI for more than 10% of an entire film.
- The word "Ghibli" actually describes a very hot wind that blows North from the Sahara Desert.
- Studio Ghibli has a "no cuts" policy with foreign film markets. So when people reproduce their movies, you're still seeing it in its original form.
- Hayao Miyazaki (a founder of Studio Ghibli) doesn't like to rely on scripts in his films. Instead, he leans into gut feelings and improv.
- Spirited Away is Japan's highest-grossing film, earning 274 million dollars worldwide.
- Studio Ghibli's logo is "Totoro," from their film My Neighbor Totoro.
