1Go to the wikiHow Forums. Login to your wikiHow website account, then head to the forums at here, and log in there, too.

2Peruse over the page of topics, to see what's available to be commented on.
- Help Using wikiHow: Discuss how to solve almost any problem on wikiHow with other editors.
- Village Pump: A place to discuss the wikiHow project, read our latest news, propose new ideas, and discuss various aspects of the community with other contributors.
- Collaboration Corner: Discuss how to work together with other members of the wikiHow community to get things done.
- Category Info: Suggest proposals for new categories if requests are being taken.
- General Chat: A forum where you can have off-topic discussions about (almost) anything you like. Get to know your fellow community members here, as you discuss whatever interests you.
- Bug Reports: Help improve wikiHow by reporting bugs and sharing technical feedback here.

3Read each comment to see what has already been discussed, or if something you know has been mentioned yet.
- If the discussion is looking for information that requests help, help them, if possible. If not, avoid that topic and move on.

4Scroll down as you peruse the topic, and get yourself to a line of buttons from "Share" to "Reply" is seen.

5Click the "Reply" button.

6Type your response.
- A formatter bar is found above the typing box containing various formatting changes, to format the text, assuming you select the text first.
- As you type, the comment will auto-format right into the box you're typing in, saving you the hassle of reading all markdown text, unless you chose to use Discourse Forums markdown mode, or are looking at old previews from a pane on the right of the comment box, from a previous Forums version.

7Look below and click the "Reply" button to the left of "Discard". This saves your comment.

8Wait for the reply to be placed on the discussion. When it's been placed there, it's officially a comment seen by the wikiHow community.
