When someone shares one of your tweets on Twitter (now X) and includes their own thoughts or take, they've "quoted" your tweet. Due to an interface update, the quote tweet feature is now hidden in the "View post engagements" area. This wikiHow article will teach you how to find a list of everyone who quoted your tweet on X, formerly Twitter, using your computer, iPhone, iPad, or Android.
Find Quote Retweets on X
To find who quoted your tweet on Twitter (X), navigate to the post and select the Repost button. In the pop-up menu, select View Post Interactions. Select the Quotes tab to view all your public quote retweets.
Steps
Mobile App
-
Open the X app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad. Launch the X (formerly Twitter) app and sign in if you haven't already. If you want to find out who quoted a tweet in the X mobile app, it's easy.
-
Tap a tweet. This can be one of your own tweets or tweets from another person.
- If the tweet has been retweeted, you'll see a number next to the icon of two arrows beneath it. The number indicates how many times the post was retweeted, including as quote tweets.

-
4Tap View Post Interactions. This is at the bottom of the pop-up menu.
-
5Tap the "Quotes" header. This is the middle section, between Liked by and Reposted by.
- You'll see a list of all quoted posts for your tweet. Scroll down to browse. Keep in mind you'll only be able to view quoted posts made by public accounts.
On a Computer
-
Log in to Twitter (X). Go to twitter.com and sign in to your account. On the desktop version of Twitter, quote tweets have moved to a different spot.
-
2Navigate to a post. This can be one of your own tweets or somebody else's tweet.
- In the past, if a tweet had been retweeted at least once, you would see a number next to the two arrows below it. This number included both regular retweets and quoted tweets. However, you'll only see one number indicating the number of reposts.
-
3Click the repost icon. This is the two curved arrows underneath the post. A pop-up menu will open.
- If the pop-up menu doesn't open, click the three-dots icon next to the post instead.
-
