Reverse Cursed Technique uses cursed energy to make positive energy. As Moore explains, Reverse Cursed Technique is positive cursed energy. “Cursed energy is normally negative, so when you reverse it, it becomes positive.” He says Reverse Cursed Technique works by multiplying negative energy against itself, and then the user has positive energy (they just have to avoid killing themselves). RCT can be used to restore a burnt out cursed technique. By burning away the part of the brain that houses the cursed technique and instantly repairing it, users can restore their cursed technique quicker than usual. This is a dangerous gamble, though, as it risks causing lasting brain damage if done without precise care.
- During Satoru Gojo and Sukuna’s battle in the Shinjuku Showdown arc, both used RCT to recover their techniques. However, Gojo overdid it, which damaged his brain and prevented him from healing and opening his domain later in the fight.

Satoru Gojo Gojo learned how to use Reverse Cursed Technique after he was nearly killed by Toji Fushiguro. After using the technique to heal his near-fatal wounds, he took it a step further and used it to counteract his Limitless technique. Limitless overloads users’ brains with information, but Gojo uses RCT to constantly heal his brain and his Six Eyes to keep the technique active 24/7.^{[8]

Ryomen Sukuna How Sukuna learned Reverse Cursed Technique is unknown, but his mastery over it is impressive, with the King of Curses using it to heal Yuji’s arm and heart after he takes over his body and forces him into a Binding Vow. He also projects RCT to heal Megumi after Mahoraga temporarily kills him, showing his deep understanding of the technique.^{[9]

Shoko is a rare case of a sorcerer having innate mastery over RCT over everything else. Reverse Cursed Technique is her only technique, which she uses to heal other people’s wounds. Yuta Okkotsu Yuta uses Reverse Cursed Technique in a multitude of ways. Not only is he able to heal personal wounds and the wounds of others due to his immense cursed energy, but he is also able to use RCT to destroy curses with ease, as the positive energy generated by the technique is lethal to their bodies since they’re constructed by negative energy.^{[11]

- He also healed Yuji from death when he immediately poured positive energy into his heart after fatally stabbing it. He did this to fool the higher ups into thinking he killed Yuji.

Kinji Hakari is a unique case. He doesn’t have conscious control over Reverse Cursed Technique, but if he hits a jackpot with his Domain Expansion, he’s granted immortality for four minutes and 11 seconds. This constantly produces cursed energy, which floods the body with positive energy through the Reverse Cursed Technique.^{[12]

Higuruma awakened his ability to use Reverse Cursed Technique during his final battle against Sukuna. Sukuna slashed his arms and legs off, but Higuruma was able to grasp the technique and use it to repair his limbs. While Sukuna was distracted by Piercing Blood, he used the technique to return to battle and catch him by surprise.^{[14]

During the final battle of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji showed his potential by learning Reverse Cursed Technique in one month. He learned it while training with Yuta Okkotsu and first used it when Sukuna sliced him in half. He wasn’t able to heal some of the deeper wounds, but he was still able to recover and heal internal wounds, returning to the battle to help take Sukuna down.

Kenjaku Kenjaku displays his control over Reverse Cursed Technique during his battle with Yuki Tsukumo when he healed his shattered arms. Aside from using the positive energy provided by RCT to heal, he also uses it to perform Cursed Technique Reversal on his Antigravity System technique, which intensified the gravity in his vicinity.^{[15]

Uraume Uraume uses Reverse Cursed Technique to heal themself in battle. Although we don’t see much of it, Uraume’s use of the technique shows their strength, as they use it to instantly repair a hole in their hand before activating their innate technique to freeze our heroes in place during the Shibuya Arc.^{[16]

Round Deer Round Deer is a shikigami summoned through Megumi Fushiguro’s Ten Shadows Technique. Round Deer doesn’t use Reverse Cursed Technique under Megumi’s control, but it still presumably has access to it. It showcases its ability to use the technique when it heals Sukuna from wounds caused by his battle with Yorozu.
- When Sukuna merges Round Deer with Nue, Great Serpent, and Tiger Funeral during his battle against Gojo, the newly merged beast Agito retains Round Deer’s Reverse Cursed Technique.
In Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo, Dabura is a powerful alien warrior who is able to use Reverse Cursed Technique after grasping an understanding of it. After his leg was nearly destroyed during a battle with Mahoraga, Dabura remembered that human sorcerers used a technique that converted negative energy into positive energy, and did it himself to repair his leg.

Cursed Energy Cursed energy is what gives characters in Jujutsu Kaisen their abilities and powers their cursed techniques. It’s the energy that’s born from the negative emotions that every human has. Jujutsu sorcerers have precise control over their cursed energy, using it to create strong attacks and moves.
- Regular humans leak cursed energy, often resulting in the creation of curses.
- Curses are monsters born from negative human emotions.

Binding Vows A Binding Vow is a restriction or vow placed among oneself in exchange for a certain power or ability. Characters like Ryomen Sukuna and Maki Zenin are known for their Binding Vows, as Sukuna uses plenty of them to fortify his power and Maki was born with a Binding Vow.
- The Binding Vow Maki was born with is called Heavenly Restriction. Heavenly Restriction takes away her cursed energy in exchange for immense power, speed, and enhanced senses.
- A Heavenly Restriction is the only type of Binding Vow placed onto someone at birth.
- Toji Fushiguro also has the same Heavenly Restriction Binding Vow as Maki.
- Explaining your cursed technique and its weaknesses to enemies is also a type of Binding Vow, one that grants you boosted abilities in return.

Domain Expansion According to Riley, a domain expansion is a physical manifestation of a character’s innate technique that encompasses everyone near it in a giant ball. Once someone traps their enemy inside the ball, Riley says, “It’s pretty much guaranteed that their ability is going to hit.”^{[18]

- Since every character’s innate technique is different, so is every character’s domain expansion.
- Domain expansions are activated by specific hand signs, which are also different for every character.
Domain amplification is when a sorcerer wraps their domain around their body like a thin film, often using it to negate the effects of an enemy’s Domain Expansion and freely act within it. The only drawback to using a domain amplification is that the user’s innate technique cannot be accessed while the amplification is active, limiting them to physical attacks.
