PDF download Download Article

G0Z the clown is one very popular (and creepy) example of a Roblox myth: a work of fiction surrounded by extensive lore. But, out of all the myths that have come from Roblox, G0Z is one of the more infamous, with his own webcomic and multiple games exploring his mysterious and deadly past. In this article, we’ll introduce you to G0Z as a character, his lore on Roblox, and the games he’s created. Ready to immerse yourself in the wild world of Roblox myths? Let’s get started!

An Introduction to G0Z the Clown

G0Z is a Roblox myth character created in 2012 who became a pioneer of clown myths on the platform. As G0Z’s legend goes, players who join his games can find their own avatars’ bodies there—and if they keep playing, G0Z can mysteriously wipe their accounts. G0Z gained fame through his Roblox games and YouTube videos.

Who is GOZ the Clown?

  1. Goz—spelled G0Z—is a notorious Roblox myth character. In fact, G0Z may be the largest and most well-known myth on Roblox. The character himself has a Roblox account (under the name “G0Z”) and several games to his name, including the most-visited myth game on the Roblox platform. G0Z’s “myth” is a creepypasta-like legend that popularized clown myths on Roblox, and the character even has his own webcomic.[1]
    • What is G0Z the clown’s real name? Simply put, nobody knows! The user behind G0Z’s account has never revealed their identity—so, for now, it’s just “G0Z the clown.”
    • As a character, G0Z has “collaborated” with other myths on the platform, too; he founded a group called “Collaboration!”, which included several other influential Roblox myth-genre developers.

G0Z the Clown’s Lore & Story

PDF download Download Article
  1. 1
G0Z’s story begins in an official comic that details his early life. The comic is titled The Circus in the Sky (the same name as G0Z’s most popular Roblox game). It explores G0Z’s birth and childhood. When G0Z is born, his parents are surprised that he’s a boy (they’d been expecting a girl) and alarmed at the fact that G0Z has an extra finger on his right hand. Rejecting him, they abandon G0Z at a church.
    • The webcomic itself is “Written by G0Z.” Illustration and editing are attributed to Zachimera.
  2. 2
As a child, G0Z forms a friend group called the “Frog Mafia.” G0Z—named “Annie Martin Holmees” by his parents—grows up under the care of Father Sondés and several nuns, who conspire to sell him to the “Sunny Children’s Foundation” when he is of age because he’s a “freak.” G0Z lives with several other kids, including a boy named Sigmund, as well as two newer children named Tsubaki and Haru Akai. The four of them become the “Frog Mafia.”
    • The Frog Mafia name comes from Sigmund’s love of frogs and the Akai kids’ mafia connections (with their father being a member).
  3. 3
G0Z is contacted by an entity named “Father Sun.” One day, the Frog Mafia makes a plan to break into Sondés’s office and rob the “Sunshine Vault” there—and, in the process, they end up knocking out Sondés himself. During the break-in, a mysterious “Father Sun” speaks to G0Z in his head and even tries to take over G0Z’s body. G0Z, however, refuses to give up control of his body and tells Father Sun to stay away.
    • This part of G0Z’s story is significant, as a later, older version of G0Z from his Roblox games is apparently controlled by Father Sun.
    • When G0Z tells Father Sun to stay away in the webcomic, Sun insists that they had a connection, and that he’d be back someday when G0Z had “nothing left but madness.”
  4. 4
By the end of the webcomic, G0Z has gone through a one-way portal. The kids find a box in Sondés’s office (as well as a book called “The Church of Father Sun,” which G0Z pockets). G0Z crawls through the portal and ends up in the Kingdom of Sunothodis, where he is met by a friendly face named “Caroline.” She explains that G0Z can’t go back through the portal, and that he’d have died if he didn’t come to Sunothodis, because Father Sun cursed him.
    • The webcomic ends with G0Z and Caroline searching for a doctor to heal G0Z’s curse; meanwhile, Sigmund and the Akais free the other orphans at the church and leave to find a better life.
    • It’s unclear if there’s more planned for the comic, or if it’ll ever be updated—so, for the foreseeable future, it’s more or less finished.
  5. 5
After the events of the webcomic, G0Z’s lore becomes murky. G0Z eventually moves into his own home, claiming to have been dead for 19 years (explaining the time jump from G0Z as a child in the webcomic to his full-grown clown persona in the games). He also claims to have been born in a town with a circus, feeding his appreciation of them and his career as a clown.
    • G0Z also forms his own circus, made up of fellow Roblox “myths” and collaborators including CAROLINE, CLINTEN, TOOFERZ, and ZOOZY_Q (all of whom have their own accounts as characters).
  6. 6
G0Z gained a reputation as a murderous clown in the Roblox games. In one of G0Z’s earliest Roblox games, Our Happy Town, it was established that G0Z’s home was filled with the corpses (Roblox avatars) of myth hunters, and that a new body could be found daily in a different spot. The house itself was also full of strange, spooky pictures—and, of course, G0Z himself was there dressed as a clown.
    • G0Z was rumored to be divorced, but in the game, finding G0Z’s bedroom in the house also meant finding the corpse of his wife.
    • However, G0Z gave an interview to a Roblox user named Luig10909 and claimed that the corpses around his house were just laundry.
    • He simultaneously posted a video on his first YouTube account that shows G0Z staring at the camera as the song “Mr. Sandman” (by the Chordettes) plays.
  7. 7
G0Z’s myth says that players who join his games end up “dead.” Not the players themselves, of course, but rather their avatars. Players who joined a G0Z game would, supposedly, find themselves as a corpse in the game after a later update. And, if that player kept playing, they’d get a private message from G0Z inviting them to an appointment. As the legend goes, attending that appointment would cause the player’s account to disappear.
    • The legend also says that the player’s avatar would remain dead in G0Z’s game, even after seemingly being deleted.

G0Z the Clown’s History on Roblox

  1. 1
G0Z’s Roblox account was made in August of 2012. However, G0Z’s status as a Roblox myth only really began in 2014 once his first game was released and gained some notoriety. Roblox myth hunters (players who take it upon themselves to investigate Roblox myths) began to notice G0Z and his creepy creations, turning G0Z into an early icon of the myth genre.
  2. 2
G0Z created their signature game, “The Circus in the Sky,” in 2018. Around the same time, G0Z also made their own YouTube channel (G0Z Holmes), posting videos featuring everything from let's plays of other Roblox games to videos about mental health (all in-character as G0Z). Meanwhile, the myth genre became super popular around 2018, with myth-hunting YouTubers like Mrflimflam (or Flamingo/Albert) helping to raise its profile.
    • The Circus in the Sky got lots of attention from YouTubers—and, impressively, over 2 million visits from Roblox users during this time.
  3. 3
G0Z stopped uploading videos in 2020. Around the same time, some of G0Z’s frequent collaborators also left Roblox—and G0Z himself posted his last video to YouTube on October 1, 2020. Although he discussed possible plans for the future in that video, including turning his channel into a group channel for other “circus members” to use, he’s been inactive on YouTube since then and has stuck to updating his games on Roblox rather than publishing any new ones.
    • G0Z was most active on both platforms (as well as Twitter/X) from 2018 to 2019.
    • Ownership of G0Z’s group, Collaboration!, was given to user Mullberries in 2021.

G0Z the Clown’s Appearance & Traits

PDF download Download Article
  1. 1
G0Z is depicted as a male character dressed like a clown. G0Z’s avatar is a male character with white clown makeup and red hair on the sides of his head. He’s wearing a doctor’s head reflector and gloves, along with a white T-shirt that has an image of G0Z on it. He also has red pants and mismatched animal slippers in the shape of a frog and rabbit.[2]
    • Child G0Z (“Annie”) had ginger hair and green eyes. In the comics, he wears a striped shirt with brown pants.
  2. 2
G0Z’s personality is playful, yet hides a darker side. In videos, G0Z seems very warm and friendly toward viewers. However, it’s implied through the games that he’s under the control of Father Sun, which is what makes him kill other Roblox avatars and place them in his home. In one YouTube Q&A video, G0Z even claimed that he “cannot feel sadness” because of his connection to Father Sun.[3]
    • G0Z also tends to avoid the subject of his murderous tendencies or outright reject the idea of him killing players’ avatars.

Notable Games Made by G0Z

Our Happy TownOur Happy Town was one of G0Z’s first Roblox games. While there isn’t too much information remaining about Our Happy Town, it’s the game that jump-started G0Z’s murderous lore—and the idea that he hid players’ dead bodies around the game. Today (in 2026), the game is inactive and inaccessible; however, a remake of the game is in progress on Roblox.
    • Our Happy Town is designed with simple platforms and buildings, for the most part.
    • When playing, it was possible to find several dead “bodies” (avatars) on one of the platforms.
    • Our Happy Town was later replaced by The Circus in the Sky.
  2. 2
Back into the basement.. ahah..haha..ha.Back into the basement.. ahah..haha..ha. is another of G0Z’s games—this one taking place in an underground home belonging to G0Z. The house had a kitchen, bedroom, and office, and there were numbers scattered around that would supposedly help players get an appointment with G0Z himself (although this was never proven). This game is also presently inactive.[4]
    • Reaching the end of G0Z’s house would automatically teleport the player to a game called The Sewers.
  3. 3
The Circus in The Sky!The Circus in The Sky! is G0Z’s most popular game—and one of the few still accessible on Roblox, though it has changed since its initial release. In the game, players spawn onto a grassy platform where a robot welcomes them to the Circus in the Sky. They can then cross a bridge to explore G0Z’s circus area, which is filled with booths belonging to both collaborators and fans (who could ask members of the Circus, like CAROLINE, for a booth).[5]
    • Members of G0Z’s circus also have their own areas, including G0Z’s doctor's office, TOOFERZ’s dentist's office, and SNOOTZ’s bakery.
    • In the spot where ZOOZY used to be (before leaving Roblox), there’s now a teleporter to view Father Sun in “person.”
    • Finally, there’s a graveyard with tombstones for popular figures in the Roblox Myth community, as well as members of the Circus.
    • There’s also an “original” version of the game that recreates the game as it was when it first launched, released by G0Z in 2023.
  4. 4
The Kingdom of Sunothodis! The Kingdom of Sunothodis! is G0Z’s most recent and (for the moment) final game, created in 2019. The game’s description establishes that it’s connected to The Circus in The Sky! and “home to those who wish to call it home.” The name (and game itself) is a reference to G0Z’s introductory webcomic, which ends with him traveling by portal to the Kingdom of Sunothodis.[6]

What are Roblox Myths?

PDF download Download Article
  1. Roblox myths are fictional characters or stories made by Roblox players. Myths can generally be sorted into two categories: first, there are works of fiction created by players (similar to creepypastas, which are horror-themed “folktales” spread across the internet). Second, there are Roblox accounts created as myths themselves, constructing a narrative through their activity and published games.[7]
    • G0Z is an example of a Roblox account-turned-myth. He’s part of the second generation of Roblox myths (which spans roughly from 2012 to 2016).
