Jujutsu Shenanigans is a fun Roblox game based on the Jujutsu Kaisen manga and anime by Gege Akutami. One of the best ways to customize your character in the game is with emotes—and the pen emote might be the most elusive of all. The steps to get this emote are fairly complex, but we’re breaking it down in an easy-to-follow guide, so let’s get started.

How do you get the pen emote in Jujutsu Shenanigans?

1. Enter code A7D2L26RNEPG74A3Q in the shop tab.
2. Talk to the radio and enter the codes AUTHENTIC MUTUAL LOVE, DEADLY SENTENCING, & SELF-EMBODIMENT OF PERFECTION.
3. Press the Radio button 17 times.
4. Click the radio 2 more times quickly, then enter code UNGEZIEFER.
5. On a public server, get the NepCard from the arcade, then drop it on the radio.
6. Enter the following answers to the riddles: SUBWAY, HALLOWEEN, MEGUMI, LIGHT, SHADOW, PEN.
7. Kill the boss to get the emote.

How to Get the Forbidden Pen Emote

   Enter A7D2L26RNEPG74A3Q in the Game Shop. Click on the Shop tab at the top of your screen, then click on “Codes.” Once you’re there, enter the code into the text box and hit “Redeem.” This will give you the “Nep” achievement, Woven Insight emote, and a special clue to help you in the Forbidden Pen quest.

   • Equip the Woven Insight emote to see the clue, which says: “HEAR MY PLEA, FOR THEE // SHALL NOW RECITE THESE INCANTATIONS THREE. // ❤ , ☠, 🖐 // THEN, YOU SHALL TRAVEL TO THE INTERMEDIARY // OF THE CONCRETE HALLS AND SWAMPY WALLS // THAT LIE BELOW THE SURFACE. // SYNCHRONIZE THE FREQUENCY WITH THE INSIGHT // USED TO PEEL THIS LOTUS LEAF.”
   • The heart, skull, and hand hint at the first set of codes you have to type into the radio. Each one references a character’s Domain Expansion, or special move. (The characters are Yuta, Higuruma, and Mahito.)

   Go to the sewer and find the radio. Go to Shinjuku Station and through the tunnels. Look for a small grate on the wall, then attack the grate to break the wall. Go through the hole in the wall to enter the sewer, then look for a small radio on the ground.

   • This video from YouTuber @kr1ad shows the path to follow to find the radio.
   • Be sure the radio has the “E” interactive prompt above it. If you’re on a private server, this probably won’t be an issue, but it can be hard to find a working radio on a public server. This may be because each radio can only be used once (or a certain number of times), or it might be a glitch.

   Press E to talk to the radio, then enter three codes in the text box. When you first talk to the radio, it will say a string of nonsense words like “WIDENEP,” “LONGNEP,” and “EVILNEP.” Keep talking to it until a box pops up that says “Type your chant here.” Then, enter the Domain Expansions from the clues above, one at a time. They are:

   • AUTHENTIC MUTUAL LOVE
   • DEADLY SENTENCING
   • SELF-EMBODIMENT OF PERFECTION

   Play the Radio 17 times. After you’ve entered the codes, approach the radio again. Hit the “E” button 17 times in a row. You should see a red flash each time you press.

   • If you do it right, you’ll see a message that says, “You’re tuned into Indie Talents, where we show off the work of independent artists. I’m your host, ▮▮▮, and today’s Indie Talent will be the work of … Uh excuse me, who do you represent again…? Unlicensed Studios? Oh how delightful! DRIFTER HEMISPHERE. I will transmit a signal, please offset the frequency once more when you are ready to receive.”
   • The radio will then play a high-pitched noise.

   Click the Radio two more times, rapidly. As soon as the radio stops making the sound, approach it and press the “E” button twice. After the first click, you’ll see a message that says, “SIGNAL INTERRUPTED. WAIT TO LISTEN AGAIN OR PRESS AGAIN TO SUBMIT.”

   • When you click the second time, a message will pop up that says, “SPEAK IT.”

   Enter the code UNGEZIEFER into the box that pops up. You’ll see another text box, like the ones you already entered the code into. Type in “Ungeziefer.”

   • Ungeziefer is German for “pest” or “vermin,” and it’s also the name of the boss you’ll have to defeat to get the emote.

   Join a public server if you’re not already in one. Most people find it easier to do the first set of steps on a private server, because you don’t have to worry about other people attacking you or glitching the radio. But you have to be on a public server for the boss battle, or it won’t work.

   • If you join a server where the radio doesn’t work, exit the game and rejoin. Keep doing that until you find a working radio.
   • Be patient—some players report it can take a really long time to find a server where the radio is still good. For instance, this TikTok from @raidjjs is captioned “was server hopping for 4 hours for this.”

   Go to the arcade and find the NepCard. After you enter the second code, you’ll see a message that says, “OBTAIN AND RETRIEVE THE KEY OF THE FELINE.” You’ll get the “Feline Finder” emote. Equip that and follow the coordinates—or just go to the arcade inside Unlicensed Studios. Look on the right wall of the building, on a shelf full of boxes, and pick up the key card (it will be labeled NepCard in the game).

   • If you’re having a hard time picking up the card, break the shelf and the boxes. The card will fall to the floor, where it may be easier to grab.

   Drop the card onto the radio, then play the radio again. Go back into the sewers and find the radio again. Equip the key card, then use the “R” key to drop the card onto the radio. You’ll see a message that says “IT IS TO BE INTRODUCED TO YOU, TOO,” and you’ll get knocked down to the ground.

   • Use the dash button to get off the ground. A message will appear that says, “GOOD. IT HAS ENGRAVED ITSELF.”

    Solve the radio’s riddles. Talk to the radio again. It will give you a series of riddles—you’ll need to correctly answer each one. We have the riddles and answers below, so just skip to the next step if you want to try to solve them yourself.

    • ANSWER, WHERE IS THIS? (Subway)
    • ANSWER, WHEN WAS THIS? (Halloween)
    • ANSWER, WHO IS THIS? → ▮▮▮ (Megumi)
    • ONE WORD, WHAT DOES A LUMINESCENT PEAR EMIT? (Light)
    • WHAT IS SEEN AS A RESULT OF IT? IT IS CAST. (Shadow)
    • FROM THE SHADOWS, A ROAR IS HEARD. REMEMBER THE NAME OF D2. SPEAK ITS NAME BACKWARDS, AND A VERMINOUS BEAST SHALL RISE. (Pen)

    Kill the boss to get the emote. Once you solve the last riddle, you’ll see a message that says “USE YOUR WEAPON TO LIBERATE THE VERMIN.” The boss, Ungeziefer, will emerge from the ground, and a pen will appear in your hand. Defeat the boss, using the pen for your final attack.

    • This is a tough fight, so it’s a good idea to ask other players to join you in the battle. Just be sure you’re the one to deliver the final blow.
    • When you kill the boss, you’ll see a notification saying, “Obtained the Forbidden Pen,” and Forbidden Pen will be in your emote list.

What does the Forbidden Pen emote do in JJS?

   The Forbidden Pen emote shows your avatar spinning a pen in your fingers. When you equip the emote, you’ll be shown holding a red and green pen in one hand. Then, you’ll perform a trick where you spin the pen back and forth in your fingers.

   • On the JJS Fandom wiki, Forbidden Pen is listed as a limited, traversal/interactive emote.
   • If you use the pen while fighting, it will add bleedout damage to the final attack in your combo.
   • This pen emote was inspired by Satoru Gojo’s pencil trick in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.

   Some players are calling it an ARG. ARGs (alternate reality games) are games where players have to use different types of media to solve puzzles. Because solving the riddles requires knowledge of the Domain Expansions from the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, the quest could be considered an ARG.
